UTSD students, residents and faculty will be among the volunteers at the Scrub-a-Dub Dog Wash fundraiser Sunday, April 28 in Houston.
University of Texas School of Dentistry students, residents and faculty volunteers will once again team up with Scrub-A-Dub Dog Wash and the University of Houston Pre-Veterinary Society for the “Spring Fling Dog Wash Fundraiser” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Scrub-A-Dub Dog Wash#1, 3433 W. Holcombe in Houston.
Donations will benefit Project Rusty, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing the abandonment and needless euthanasia of dogs by providing rescue organizations, shelters, and the public with free educational resources on positive behavior management.
Prices range from $15 to $35 depending on the dog’s size, and will include a shampoo wash, blow dry, brush out and nail trim. Walks-ins are welcome, or reservations may be requested by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Dogs currently being fostered for adoption will have their photos taken for free. Photo sessions for non-foster dogs will be available for a nominal donation.
