Free ice cream will top off a BBQ meal at the July 25 End-of-Year Party and Scream-Out.
Two popular summer events for UT School of Dentistry employees are being combined this year. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 25, the annual End-of-Year Party and the Fifth Annual Scream-Out Ice Cream Party will take place in the Fullerton Classroom (Room 4310) on the fourth floor. The events are sponsored by the UTSD Employee Relations Committee and the Dean’s Office, respectively.
Dean John Valenza, DDS, initiated the “Scream Out” in 2009 in observance of July as National Ice Cream Month. The ERC party celebrates the end of the academic year.
The ERC will have barbecue dinners, music and door prizes. Each department/area is encouraged to bring two cakes for the cake walk. For more information, contact Louise Stacey at Ext. 4056 or Loraine Alexander, Ext. 4212.
The Scream Out will feature Blue Bell ice cream in five flavors: Homemade Vanilla, Milk Chocolate, Moo-llennium Crunch, Italian Cream Cake and Butter Pecan, served either in a cup or waffle cone. Additional toppings will be available, and the ice cream will be distributed from two stations.
