Dr. Stevenson is a prosthodontist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics at The University of Texas Health Science School of Dentistry at Houston. He received his DDS degree at the University of Southern California; Certificate in Prosthodontics, MS, and MPH degrees at the University of Texas; and is currently a candidate for the MSc degree in Evidence-Based Health Care at the University of Oxford, England.
Dr. Stevenson has been honored with the John H. Freeman Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award, the John P. McGovern Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award, and the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award for Scholarship in Teaching, He has been inducted into the Dean’s Academy of Distinguished Teaching Scholars in addition to Fellowships in the International College of Dentists; the American College of Dentists; and the Academy of Dentistry International.
Dr. Stevenson has been providing prosthodontic care and conducting research protocols involving HIV/AIDS dental patients at the Bering Omega Dental Clinic in Houston, Texas, since 1992. His areas of research interest also include Health Promotion and Health Education, Evidence-Based Dentistry, and Oral Health-Related Quality of Life Issues. He has been invited as a featured speaker nationally and internationally.
