Associate Professor Nina Infante, RDH, MS, in the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She received an associate degree in dental hygiene from Amarillo College, Amarillo, Texas and earned a master of science degree in dental hygiene education from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She is a member of ADHA, TDHA, GHDHS, and TDHEA.
Ms. Infante worked in private practice 13 years prior to beginning her teaching career in 1986 at Amarillo College. Her work at UTSD includes serving as clinic coordinator and teaching in clinic. Courses she has taught include Ethics and Jurisprudence, Periodontology, Radiology, Special Patients and Seminar courses. She also participates in continuing education courses.
She has been honored with the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award in 1995, 2001 and The Lorna J. Bruning Outstanding Teaching Award in 2011.
