Dr. Ortegon is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. He joined the faculty after completing his subspecialty in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Dental Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He obtained his dental degree from the Javeriana University in 1998. He completed an Advanced Education Program in General Dentistry, a residency in Prosthodontics and a Masters in Dental Science at the University of Connecticut Health Science Center. He has been course director for the fixed prosthodontics and implant dentistry course. He currently is a part-time faculty at the Graduate Prosthodontics residents in clinic. In addition he is an advisor and board member for the Seattle Study Club and Rising Stars Dental Academy study clubs.
Dr. Ortegon is a Board Certified Prosthodontist with primary interests in the fields of implant dentistry, maxillofacial prosthodontics, dental materials and education. He maintains a private practice limited to his specialty.
