Dr. Hitesh Pawar is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Diagnostic and Biomedical Sciences at UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston. His main areas of expertise are genomics and molecular biology.
Dr. Pawar's research interests focus on understanding the involvement of a novel immune-system-derived splice variant of thyroid-stimulating hormone in the development and perpetuation of autoimmune thyroiditis using gene-targeted knockdown systems. Similarly, Dr. Pawar's additional research studies have focused on identifying the role of TSH beta gene-associated transcription factors, enhancers, and suppressers in gene splicing and its functional role in development of autoimmune diseases.
