Dear Colleagues in Dentistry,
Welcome to 2015! You may actually be reading this in familiar old 2014, but it’s time to think ahead about a new year and new possibilities. Our Office of Continuing Education — in collaboration with UT Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and the UTSD Alumni Association — is currently taking reservations for a July 17-26, 2015 trip to Ireland that will offset the necessity of continuing education with the excitement of travel.
“The Connection between Periodontal Health and Systemic Well-Being: What Do They Mean to My Practice?” will be presented by Brian L. Mealey, DDS, MS. Drs. Todd Ehrlich and August De Oliveira will delve into digital dentistry with “Summer of CEREC” for those who opt for this course. And two additional three-hour courses will be available online to round out the offerings.
The travel will take you from Dublin to Kilkenny, Kilarney and Cong, then to Ashford Castle before heading home. Full details and registration information are available at http://go.uth.edu/Ireland.
The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston serves hundreds of dental professionals every year and welcome your ideas, comments and suggestions for continuing education topics. Please contact CE Coordinator Yvette G. Haas or 713-486-4028 to provide feedback.
And maybe I should add, “Tell us where you want to go.” Dental education should never be boring. (And that’s no blarney).
