Houston Center for Biomaterials and Biomimetics Director and Professor Rade D. Paravina, DDS, PhD, served as program chair at the first quadrennial Interdisciplinary Summit of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, one of the most prestigious dental organizations in the world. The meeting was held at the historic Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California.
At the same meeting, Professor Joe C. Ontiveros, DDS, MS, became a fellow of the AAED. Ontiveros is director of esthetic dentistry and head of the HCBB’s Biomaterials Section.
Paravina co-authored a newly released textbook, “Color in Dentistry: A Clinical Guide to Predictable Esthetics," published by Quintessence. The book is featured on the cover of the publisher’s catalog, which contains more than 500 titles.
