Three faculty participate in Health Educators Fellowship Program

Three UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry faculty members have completed the Health Educators Fellowship Program.

School of Dentistry fellows were Michelle Aguilos Thompson, DDS, assistant professor in the Department of General Practice and Dental Public Health; Jennifer Chang, DDS, MSD, assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene; and F. Kurtis Kasper, PhD, professor in the Department of Orthodontics.

HEFP is an 18-month certificate program designed to expand the teaching skills of participating faculty and enhance the educational mission of UTHealth Houston.

The program’s primary aim is to enhance and improve faculty knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to the scholarship of teaching and learning to enable them to make positive contributions to their department, school, and the university.
