Feb. 26  Professor Ryan Quock, DDS, fielded dental questions on Houston Matters, the noontime talk show on Houston Public Media's KUHF Radio.

Feb. 22   Debra Stewart, DDS, and Associate Professor Gisela Bona, DDS, MS, were interviewed by reporters with the ONSCENE.TV news service and KTRH Radio about the annual Give Kids A Smile® event at the School of Dentistry. About 300 children were treated free of charge by dental volunteers. Dentistry Today ran a photo and story about the event.

Feb. 18  FOX 26 News  interviewed  Assistant Professor Amy Herbert, DDS, about the diagnosis and treatment of "baby-bottle tooth decay."

Feb. 17 
Associate Professor and Assistant Dean Ralph Cooley, DDS, addressed popular dental myths on KPRC Radio's Fifty+ show.

Feb. 10  Associate Professor Cameron Jeter, PhD, of the UTHealth Consortium on Aging, told KPRC Radio Fifty+ listeners what's being done to reduce the risk of falls among those with Parkinson's disease.


Jan. 30  Community Outreach Director Margo Melchor, RDH, EdD, appeared on Good Morning with NTV Houston  along with Tanya Gee, executive director of Ronald McDonald Houston Charities of Greater Houston/Galveston, Inc., and Dr. Sanghamitra Misra of Texas Children’s Hospital to discuss the mobile clinics (dental and medical) the charity co-sponsors with UTHealth School of Dentistry and Texas Children’s Hospital, respectively.

Jan. 14:  This morning on FOX 26 News, School of Dentistry Community Outreach Director Margo Melchor, RDH, MEd, EdD, showed viewers how to floss correctly.

Jan. 9:   Megan Bishop of WOAI Radio in San Antonio interviewed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Simon Young, MD, DDS, PhD, for a story on his research into a promising treatment for oral cancer.
