UTHealth Houston alumnus Victor Rodriguez, DDS ’95, chair of the Greater Houston Dental Society’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, asked the School of Dentistry to share an article first published in the Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society in May.

Written by UTSD alumni Alejandro (Alex) Barrera, DDS ’17, and Cynthia Corral, DDS ’13, "LGBTQ+ Equality: What Dentists Need to Know" defines the terms lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and queer.  Barrera and Corral share insight on LGBTQ+ issues and provide information about the Houston Equality Dental Network, a group organized specifically for LGBTQ+ dental students, professionals, and patients.
