Wellness Committee hosts virtual holiday concert

To kick off the holiday season, the Wellness Committee at UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston held a virtual concert Dec. 15 via Cisco Webex. A recording of the event is available for viewing at Go.uth.edu/2020HolidayConcert (UTHealth credentials required for log-in).
Several members of the faculty, staff, and student body shared renditions of their favorite festive songs.
In order of appearance, performances included:
- Cesar Zapata, first-year dental student, on guitar and singing “O Holy Night;”
- Helen Liu, first-year dental student, on ukulele and keyboard while singing “The First Noel;”
- Colin Kappel, first-year dental student, on violin playing “White Christmas;” followed by David Fray, DDS, MBA, professor, singing “White Christmas;”
- Laura Arsto, second-year dental student, on keyboard; and Meghna Dara, second-year dental student, on tambourine, together singing “What Christmas Means to Me;”
- Neha Parikh, PhD, assistant professor, on flute playing “Silent Night;”
- Kappel on violin a second time, playing “Partita No. 2 in D Minor;”
- Joy Nisnisan, third-year dental student, singing; and Nico Cagulada, fiancé, on guitar, performing together “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas;”
- Connie Dieringer, chief histology technician, on guitar and singing, “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.”
