School of Dentistry alumni, faculty recognized as AGD Fellows, Masters, LLSR recipients

Several alumni of UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry have been recognized by the Academy of General Dentistry with Fellowship and Mastership awards as well as Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition distinction.

The School of Dentistry alumni were recognized during the AGD2023 Convocation Ceremony on July 22 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition

Recipients of Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition epitomize a career of excellence in dentistry. In addition to completing thousands of hours of continuing education throughout their career, these members actively give back to the profession by staying active in organized dentistry, mentoring colleagues, and selflessly donating their time and services to the community.

School of Dentistry awardees are as follows:

Mastership Award

Mastership is the highest AGD award available and one of the most-respected and recognizable designations in the dental profession. Recipients must complete more than 1,100 hours of approved continuing dental education hours. At least 400 of these hours involve the actual application of a technique or skill under the close supervision of highly qualified experts. AGD Masters are leaders in dentistry who have made a commitment to uphold the highest professional standards and ideals of the academy.

The Fellowship Award honors AGD members who recognize and embrace their professional obligation to remain current in their knowledge and skills, ensuring the highest quality oral health care for all patients.
