Description:

T.G. Lewis, who designed articulators with George B. Snow in the 1860's, continued to produce articulators that were highly adjustable in order to correct clinical errors. This articulator was said to have the means to produce each motion independent of the others with vertical adjustments to accommodate any thickness of cast. The hinge is constructed without a removable pin. It was in consistent use for over 30 years.

Dr. Edgar N. Starcke's articles in the Journal of Prosthodontics have more information on the history of articulators.
