Description: The National Collaborative on Humanities and Ethics in Dentistry welcomes Michelle V. Moncrieffe, MA, CHES, lecturer and interdisciplinary researcher at the University of Maryland College Park. Her presentation will address the power of narratives in offering insight for dental trainees into the oral health challenges faced by underserved communities, how public libraries can be partners in bringing together trainees and community members in need of oral health care, and a new, innovative narrative dentistry database to support oral health pedagogy. The collaborative includes five institutions, including UTHealth Houston's McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics.
