DH AM Presentation: Back to Basics: Providing Quality Patient Care

Presented by Ann O'Kelley Wetmore, BSDH, MSDH

Synopsis: Through this course, Ms. Wetmore will go back to the basics by providing an in-depth review of the Dental Hygiene Process of Care and current standards of care in regards to infection control, HIPAA, and risk management. Course participants will recognize how the Assessment, Diagnosis, Plan, Implementation, Evaluation, and Documentation (ADPIED) algorithm is a valuable tool for enhancing clinical judgment, providing evidence-based practice, avoiding risk, and providing quality care for diverse populations.

DH PM Presentation: Beyond the Basics: Advancing Oral Health Care

Presented by Ann O'Kelley Wetmore, BSDH, MSDH

Synopsis: As evidence regarding the oral systemic link emerges, the oral health care provider has new opportunities for advocacy and provision of quality care. In this course, participants will examine ways the oral systemic link, emerging practice settings in comprehensive health, and delivery trends impact traditional oral health care. Participants will also collaborate on how to address the needs of diverse populations.

Credit Hours: 3 lecture hours: 010 Basic Sciences

3 lecture hours: 550 Practice Management and Human Relations
