Because of you, Giving Day was a historic success this year! The many faces of UTHealth Houston came together in record numbers to celebrate our 50th anniversary and support our collective goal of creating a healthier tomorrow.

This year’s event was truly one for the books. All six UTHealth Houston deans committed to matching donations for their schools. Many of our faculty and staff provided financial incentives to help drive support for vital research and education initiatives. Our students and community members showed up on social media to help spread the word so that people near and far—from across Texas, the entire nation, and even South America—could join our mission.

Contributions like these made a big difference, and we smashed our previous Giving Day records!

This year, 553 friends of the university contributed $231,527 which will lead to even more groundbreaking research, exceptional teaching, and compassionate care at UTHealth Houston.

“When our community comes together for a unified purpose, we can achieve extraordinary things,” said Kevin J. Foyle, MBA, CFRE, senior vice president for Development and Public Affairs. “This year’s historic Giving Day proves that the possibilities at UTHealth Houston are limitless.”

We loved seeing so many faces at our in-person events across the university. The snacks and giveaways were a big hit, and many people took selfies to share with their friends and online followers. Photos from the festivities throughout the day are available on the UTHealth Houston and School of Dentistry Flickr pages.
