Adams receives UCSC’s Staff Recognition Spotlight Award

Adrianna Adams of UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry has been named a 2024 recipient of the Staff Recognition Spotlight Award from the University Classified Staff Council.
The award recognizes classified staff members who illustrate caring, commitment, integrity, and knowledge.
Adams was one of nine UTHealth Houston employees recognized during the annual UCSC Workshop in July. The winners were chosen from more than 100 nominations submitted by colleagues across campus.
“Each one of us knows a staff member who always goes above and beyond to get the job done and help others,” said Alainna Talton, FY24 chair of the University Classified Staff Council. “This is our way of thanking those who exemplify a commitment to making a positive impact at UTHealth Houston through professionalism and teamwork.”
Adams is the administrative assistant in the Office of Technology Services and Informatics.
Her nominator wrote, “Adrianna ensures effective communication and can manage the prioritization of multiple tasks. She is deserving of this award as she has consistently gone above and beyond to provide customer service to all faculty, staff, and students. Adrianna continues to display leadership skills of not shying away from a challenge, such as acquiring the skills and knowledge to fulfill the media services like learning new systems and software.”
Additional 2024 honorees included Robin Cavalier-Brown from McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics at UTHealth Houston, Jaymes Barcenas from UTHealth Houston School of Public Health, Joshua Dorris from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, Cavishia Roberson from Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston, Michael Ingram from UTHealth Houston Administration, Yudhi Willis from UTHealth Houston School of Behavioral Health Sciences, Laura Sharp from UT Physicians, and Erica Leday, MBA, from MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
