UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston’s Dental Hygiene Program once again took top awards at the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association’s annual meeting, held this year in Galveston.

Lac Hong Pham was named “Outstanding Student” in Texas and awarded the TDHA Scholarship.

At the same event, UTSD alumna and Assistant Professor Amber Lovatos, RDH, BSDH, won the TDHA Advanced Degree Scholarship. She was also elected as a delegate to the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.

UTSD students Kristin Valenzuela and Rosanna Mehrinfar also won scholarships, and Mehrinfar shared a third-place award with classmate Karen D’Mello in the scientific poster competition at the meeting.
