Raha Naderi is an assistant professor at the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. She graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry Houston in 2009, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She received her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston in December 2020.
She has practiced as a clinical Dental Hygienist for almost 13 years until last year, when she began her current academic career.
She is a member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), and Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas (DHET). She is also the Greater Houston Dental Hygienists’ Association (GHDHA) chair of the educational programs and the Trustee from 2022-2023. She also serves as the faculty advisor for Student Chapter American Dental Hygienists’ Association (SCADHA) and as a delegate for the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association.
In 2021, she received the Lorna J. Bruning Award, which recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional knowledge and competence toward effective learning.
