Kyle Rogers serves as the marketing and communications manager for UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. He joined the School of Dentistry after previous stops in higher education at Stephen F. Austin State University, Houston Baptist University, and, most recently, the University of Houston. At all three institutions, he worked in athletics communications. In those roles, Rogers was in charge of all communication efforts and statistical data management for assigned sports; oversaw the respective athletic departments’ websites and social media presence between multiple individual sport accounts and platforms; designed graphics; produced and facilitated interviews with student-athletes, coaches, and staff; wrote and designed information guides and game notes packages, as well as game day programs; and served as the event coordinator for home sporting events and functions, among other roles.
Rogers is a member of UTHealth Houston’s University Classified Staff Council and serves on the Staff Development Committee.
In his spare time, Rogers serves as a color analyst for the University of Houston and Rice University baseball games on ESPN+, and he serves as a statistician for multiple sports at both institutions as well as for the Houston Texans in the National Football League.
A Houston native, Rogers graduated cum laude from SFA in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and minor in journalism. He also played baseball for the Lumberjacks.
He and his wife Lauren, a former softball letterwinner at SFA, have two children, Garrison and Landry.
