Courtney Routh joined UTHealth School of Dentistry in 2023 as an Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program of the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. Prior to joining the UTSD faculty, she practiced clinical dental hygiene for 17 years. Her passion and focus has been in periodontology where she has been working for the past 5 years. During her time as a hygienist in her periodontal practice, she also established and maintained an AGD PACE certified dental hygiene study club and organized 3-4 meetings a year for Houston area hygienists.
Courtney Routh holds a Master of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She is a member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), and Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas (DHET). She is committed to contributing to the dental hygiene profession through education and research.
