Assistant Professor Marilia M. Sly, DDS, MSD earned her dental degree and endodontics certificate in Brazil and her Master of Science in Dentistry degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Her master’s degree work investigated adhesion of endodontic sealers to radicular dentin. Previously, she was private practice as an endodontist for six years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before moving to the U.S.
Currently, Dr. Sly is on the faculty of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry, where she participates in preclinical and clinical teaching, and research. She is actively involved in the integration and use of CAD/CAM technology in the School of Dentistry's dental curriculum.
