Dr. Chiquet is an associate professor of pediatric dentistry. He joined the UTHealth School of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry in August 2013, and directs a diagnosis and treatment planning course with the second-year dental students. He also covers clinic with the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry residents.
Dr. Chiquet's clinical interests include all aspects of pediatric dentistry, from comprehensive care, prevention, pulp therapy, trauma, sedation, hospital dentistry, and treating patients with special healthcare needs. He is an active participate on the UT Cleft-Craniofacial Team and provides presurgical infant orthopedic appliances and participates in biweekly meetings for team patients.
Dr. Chiquet is also a research coordinator in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. His research interests center around a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and treating cleft lip and palate. He is very involved with resident research projects that focus on topics central to pediatric dentistry, including sedation and behavior management. His most recent publications focus on patient safety during dental care.
