Dr. Nguyen is an assistant professor in the Department of Diagnostic and Biomedical Sciences at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Prior to joining the department in January 2017, she received her doctoral degree in biomedical sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, with a concentration in structural anatomy and rehabilitation sciences.
She is an active member in the American Dental Education Association, the American Association of Anatomists, the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society, and the Texas Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Nguyen serves as the course director for the Dental Hygiene Oral Histology and Embryology course. She is also a professor in the Head and Neck Anatomy course for first-year dental and dental hygiene students. Her current research interests involve developing innovative educational resources in the anatomical sciences for health professionals and students.
