Dylan Allen serves as a communications and marketing coordinator for UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry.
Allen is an East Texas native with a passion for writing and design, which inspired him to pursue a degree in telecommunication media studies at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Along with being active in multiple student organizations, he also served as a student communications assistant in the Texas A&M Department of Educational Psychology and in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, as well as a staff writer for Maroon Weekly while earning his bachelor’s degree. These experiences had him enrich these organizations with press release writing, newsletter writing, arts and entertainment writing, conducting interviews with a variety of people, and social media content production and management across multiple channels.
After graduating in 2020, Allen joined the correctional education institution, Windham School District, as the communications content producer. There, he oversaw multiple communications endeavors, including social media management, graphic design, video production, website management, and event coverage for the district’s efforts in providing quality education for incarcerated individuals in Texas.
He joined the School of Dentistry in 2023.
