Theresa Dufrene, RDH, is an assistant clinical professor in the Dental Hygiene Program of the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston (UTSD). Prior to joining the UTSD faculty in 2018, she practiced clinical dental hygiene for 30 years, working in family and pediatric offices.
Ms. Dufrene graduated from UTSD in 1999 with a certificate in dental hygiene. She earned a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from UNO 2015 and is currently studying for a master's degree through The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
