Theresa M. Dufrene, MSDH, RDH, BS, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry, within the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. With over 25 years of clinical dental hygiene experience, she has served in both family and pediatric dental practices throughout the Houston area.

Ms. Dufrene joined UTHealth Houston in 2018, where she teaches both didactic and clinical courses. In 2020, she assumed the role of Clinic Coordinator for second-year dental hygiene students, applying her extensive clinical expertise to support student learning and patient care. She actively serves on various institutional committees, contributing to the school’s mission and academic initiatives.

Ms. Dufrene remains dedicated to professional development and service within the dental hygiene community. She is a member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), and the Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas (DHET).
