Dr. Philip J. Corbin, D.D.S., M.S., M.P.H. earned his B.S. (1971) from West Texas A&M University, Canyon, Texas. He then earned his D.D.S. (1975), Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s in Biomedical Science M.S. (1978), and a Master’s in Public Health M.P.H. (1981) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Corbin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He holds Fellowships in the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and the Academy of Dentistry International.
Dr. Corbin holds membership in the Texas Orthodontic Study Club where he was awarded the C.T. Rowland Award for outstanding orthodontic proficiency. He was also awarded the A.P. Westfall award for superior results and the Fred F. Shudy Award for excellence in clinical orthodontics. He is an Active Member in the Southwest Component of the Edward H. Angle Society.
Dr. Corbin received the Yellen-Schoverling Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Texas Alumni Association and also the Alumnus of the Year Award from the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry.
Dr. Corbin is a life member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Corbin is dedicated to teaching the orthodontic residents and staying focused on being conservative and treating the patient’s in the least amount of time.
