Dr. Warner is clinical professor in Department of General Practice and Dental Public Health and Director of the Diagnosis and Treatment Planning Clinic. He directs or contributes to multiple courses including clinical experiences at McGovern Medical School, MD Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine.
He is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and Fellow of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists and Academy of Dentistry International. He is recipient of several awards, including Alando J. Ballantyne Head and Neck Surgery Award, M. G. and Lillie A. Johnson Cancer Treatment and Research Award and George Finley III Foundation Skin Cancer Research Award. He is on Test Construction Committees of the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE), Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE), Dental Licensure Objective Structured Clinical Examination (DLOSCE) and Advanced Dental Admission Test (ADAT). He serves on the Review Committee for Specialty Certifying Board Recognition of National Commission for Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards.
His research interests include oral oncology, premalignancy, mucocutaneous diseases, head/neck skin lesions and innovative health interventions. His overall goal is improving healthcare for all, most notably persons with neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities.
