Dr. Whitmire joined the faculty of UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston in 1997. He is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, a fellow of the American College of Dentistry, and a fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Whitmire’s clinical interests are teaching medicine to predoctoral dental students, teaching anesthesia principles and practice to dental residents, and the medical-legal regulatory issues of anesthesia practice.
