Originally from Pelham, New York, Dr. Harold Kolodney Jr. graduated with a DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He received his certificate in general dentistry from the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health and GPR certificate from the Genesee Hospital in Rochester, New York. He followed with a prosthodontic residency and maxillofacial prosthetic certificates from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Kolodney became a diplomate in the specialty of prosthodontics in 1988. Immediately prior to coming to UTHealth School of Dentistry, he was director of the Postgraduate Residency Program in Prosthodontics in the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. Prior to moving to Houston, Dr. Kolodney served as a maxillofacial prosthodontist and director of the Oral Oncology Clinic at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a past president of the Mississippi Dental Association.
