Dr. Jeffrey Hoover earned his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and his certificate and master's degree in endodontics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry (then "Dental Branch"), where he has served on the faculty for more than 24 years, including 11 years as Director of the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics and three years as Head of Endodontics. From summer 2015 to June 30, 2016, he served as interim chair of the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Hoover was engaged in the private practice of endodontics for more than 33 years.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, having also served on the AAE’s Board of Directors. He maintains active membership in the Southwest Society of Endodontists and the Houston Academy of Endodontists (including service as president of both organizations), as well as the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Hoover is also a fellow of the American College of Dentists.
