Dr. Wang is a Associate Professor of Periodontics. Since joining the faculty of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, she has focused her teaching and research on periodontal diseases. She also practices as a periodontist in UT Dentist.
After completing her residency training in periodontology, Dr. Wang was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2005. In 2011, she became an Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. Dr. Wang was recently awarded Educator Award and the Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship Career Development Award for Academic Periodontists from the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Neal W. Chilton Fellowship in Clinical Research from the American Association for Dental Research.
