David Fray, DDS, MBA, joined the faculty of the Department of General Practice and Dental Public Health at UTSD in 2015. He graduated with a DDS from UTSD Houston in 1979 and earned an MBA with an emphasis in health care administration from Oklahoma City University in 1997.
After 15 years in private practice, Dr. Fray was a public health administrator in Arkansas and Hawaii for 16 years. He is certified in long-term care by the National Association of Boards, and he is a licensed nursing facility administrator with more than 25 years of experience as a special-needs and geriatric dentist.
He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists, and he is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, American Dental Education Association and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD). Dr. Fray served as president of the AADMD from 2016-2018.
