Completed 35 years at Houston VAMC Dental Service Houston Texas before rejoining the Staff of General Dentistry and Public health. My duties include managing the Geriatrics and Extended Care clinics, the Dental Triage area, plus providing Oral Screenings for Cancer Patients including Head and Neck Cancer Patients.
I was previously a part time clinical Instructor in Special Care Clinic within this Department from 1992 to 2006. I surveyed Chinese Dental Schools with an ADEA Team in 2005 and authored a CD Disc on Geriatric Dentistry that was Developed with the Consortium of Geriatric Educators and Huffington Center for Aging this include Baylor University, Stanford University, and the University of Chicago. The CD disc was used at UT Dental Branch for several years and was widely disseminated among Chinese Dental Educators. I am very proud to be U.S. Navy veteran retiring form Reserve service in 1992.
