Holiday Closure - 

UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Jan. 2, in observance of winter break. The School of Dentistry will reopen Monday, Jan. 5, and clinical operations will resume that afternoon. The Urgent Care Clinic is by appointment only.

Director of Periodontics Research

Dr. Chun-Teh Lee’s research focuses on the interaction between inflammation and oral microbiota in health and disease. Dr. Lee is also active in evidence-based dentistry and wrote several articles of systematic review and meta-analysis. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), American Dental Education Association (ADEA), and International and American Associations for Dental Research (IADR/AADR).

In 2020, he was appointed director of research for the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. He is holder of the John M. Powers Professorship for Pre- & Postdoctoral Student Research.
