Dr. Elsa Alfonzo-Echeverri, completed her pediatric residency at LSU in 1988 after receiving her DDS from the University of Zulia in Venezuela. For more than 30 years, she has been a clinical associate professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center, School of Dentistry in Houston, where she mentors new generations of pediatric dentists. 

Dr. Echeverri is a board-certified pediatric dentist, Diplomate and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Vice-President of Echeverri Dental Center in Houston. She has extensive experience treating pediatric patients in various settings, including Phase 1 orthodontic treatment, treatment under sedation and general anesthesia, and working with patients with special needs. She has hospital privileges at Texas Children’s Hospital and Memorial Hermann. She has lectured nationally and internationally, and is a Fellow of the American Orthodontic Society.
