Assistant Professor

Dr. Marie Latortue is an assistant professor in the Department of General Practice and Dental Public Health. Her responsibilities include participation in comprehensive care, general dentistry and clinical teaching for dental students. She is also seeing patients at UT Dentists, the faculty practice at the School of Dentistry.

Dr. Latortue earned her dental degree from Haiti State University School of Dentistry in 2000 and in 2011 graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. From 2011-2013, she received advanced education in prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. 

Prior joining the UTHealth Houston faculty, she taught for four years at Texas A&M College of Dentistry (formerly known as Baylor College of Dentistry) in the Public Health Sciences Department.
