ASDA Chapter Hosts Annual Career and Vendor Fair

The American Student Dental Association chapter at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry hosted its annual Career and Vendor Fair, co-organized by the School of Dentistry’s PACE Center, on Aug. 20.

Held in the Cooley University Life Center, the event brought together more than 180 students and 20 vendors, providing dental and dental hygiene students with opportunities to explore career pathways, network with industry professionals, and learn about resources available as they prepare for their futures in dentistry.

Representatives from private practices, dental service organizations, and other industry partners met with students from across all class years, offering insights into employment opportunities, emerging technologies, and professional development resources. The event also served as a venue for students to ask questions, build professional connections, and gain a deeper understanding of the evolving dental landscape.

The annual Career and Vendor Fair is designed to support students as they transition from dental education to professional practice. By bringing together a wide range of organizations and employers in one setting, the event helps students learn about potential career options while developing relationships that may prove valuable throughout their careers.

“As students prepare for life after graduation, opportunities to connect directly with dental professionals and organizations are invaluable,” said Kamile Kuklertye, events chair for the UTSD Houston ASDA chapter. “The Career and Vendor Fair helps students explore different career paths, learn about advancements in the profession, and establish connections that can support their long-term success.”

The event continued a long-standing tradition of connecting students with dental professionals, employers and industry representatives in a setting designed to support career exploration and professional growth.
