UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry will host a blood drive in conjunction with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Donors must be at least 18 years old and present valid ID. Appointments are strongly encouraged and may be made online.

More than 800 donations per day are needed by patients in the Texas Gulf Coast region. One blood donation could help save up to three lives.

To schedule your appointment, please visit Go.uth.edu/blood-drive. For more information, contact Danielle Cerón at 346-324-1413 or [email protected].

The School of Dentistry routinely holds blood drives throughout the year. At its June 18 date, 20 units of blood were collected, which will be used to save 60 lives.

UTHealth Houston’s Miscellaneous Leave Policy (HOOP 185) allows paid time off for eligible employees to donate blood up to four times per fiscal year. Documentation is required.
