The American Student Dental Association Chapter at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry will host the 9th Annual UTSD Houston ASDA Open, sponsored by the PACE Center, on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Hermann Park Golf Course.

The one-day, 18-hole tournament will see students, alumni, faculty, residents, and staff join family, friends, and sponsors on the links in support of UTSD Houston ASDA. The four-person scramble can feature up to a 36-team field.

Registration is available at HoustonASDA.com/golf-tournament, and the fee covers a round of golf (including green and cart fees), practice range balls, lunch, two drink tickets, and a chance to win prize packages. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Play opens on the par-70 layout with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Check-in begins at 7 a.m., and players will have an opportunity to use the driving range and the short-game green before the start of the round.

For competitive purposes, all women are encouraged to play from the red tee boxes (4,563 yards), men over 55 years of age from the blue tee boxes (5,434 yards), and men under 55 from the gold tee boxes (6,015 yards).

Prizes will be awarded to the first- and second-place teams, with additional recognitions for longest drive and closest-to-the-pin winners.

Prices are $85 for students (dental, dental hygiene, or predental), $120 for non-student players (alumni, faculty, practitioners, residents, staff, family, friends, or other), and $45 for non-players (only includes lunch, beverages, and cart fees to spectate). Non-players will not be eligible for prize package drawings.

Additional information regarding eagle, birdie, golf cart, food, beverage, and hole sponsorship opportunities are available on the registration page.
