Holiday Closure -
UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Jan. 2, in observance of winter break. The School of Dentistry will reopen Monday, Jan. 5, and clinical operations will resume that afternoon. The Urgent Care Clinic is by appointment only.

This course equips general dentists and specialists with techniques to preserve the alveolar ridge following tooth extractions, emphasizing atraumatic methods that protect the bone and cortical plate. It introduces advanced exodontia strategies aimed at improving predictability, reducing chair time, and enhancing patient comfort and satisfaction. A standout feature is the hands-on component using typodonts to practice surgical skills for hard- and soft-tissue preservation.
