Data Repository

Effective January 25, 2023, the NIH instituted a new Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy that requires all proposals and grant applications to provide a DMS plan. Detailed information and guidance for researchers on this new DMS policy are provided ELSEWHERE by Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) of UTHealth Houston. At UTHealth Houston, data can be catalogued with essential project metadata and persistent identifiers in the Data Ecosystem Portal for UTHealth Houston (DEPUT) [pronounced DEP-U-TEE]. DEPUT serves as a catalog and portal for stored data at UTHealth Houston. However, DEPUT is not an all-in-one repository that necessarily meets NIH's DMS policy.

Below is a list of repositories which are NIH/NIDCR-supported or recommended, and that may be suitable for satisfying the DMS Policy as researchers work on their proposals, grant applications, and funded projects by the NIDCR. Researchers submitting applications should browse these repositories and determine which of these is best suited to their projects needs. That information should be included in the DMS Plan submitted with each grant application.
