We offer comprehensive care performed by students under the careful supervision of attending faculty. Appointments are generally three hours long and occur 1-2 times a month, depending on availability. Fees average 1/3 of the cost of private practice.
Staffed by graduate dentists completing advanced education in their chosen specialties or practice areas, our Graduate Clinics offer faculty-supervised care at rates that are generally 2/3 the cost of private practice.
Want the best of the best? Visit UT Dentists, our multidisciplinary practice staffed by expert dentists and specialists from the School of Dentistry's faculty. They practice what they teach! UT Dentists charges standard private practice fees.
PATIENT RIGHTS and
NON-DISCRIMINATION NOTICE
We respect your rights as a patient and recognize that you are an individual with unique healthcare needs. As your partners in oral health, we have identified the specific rights you can expect while in our care.
PATIENT
PRIVACY
We protect the privacy and security of our patients’ health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
LANGUAGE ASSISTANCE
SERVICES
Our clinics will take reasonable steps to provide translation services to patients with limited English proficiency upon request. This service will assist with discussion of your dental care. Family or friends cannot act as translators.
RELEASE
OF RECORDS
Patients can receive copies of their dental record and/or radiographs (x-rays) upon request. A photo ID is required to process all requests for record release or transfer.
UTSD works with community partners to reach the most vulnerable populations, because those who need oral health care the most are sometimes the least able to access it.
Our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® travels to specific Houston-area schools and other special events to treat children in need, thanks to support from our pediatric partners, Communities in Schools-Houston and CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare. Meanwhile, our adult mobile dental van makes scheduled visits throughout Houston and to East Texas to treat patients who have limited access to care.
For more information, contact Community Outreach Director Margo Melchor, RDH, EdD.
