Orthodontics Education

The Department of Orthodontics offers a rigorous 26-month Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics, integrating high academic standards, innovative research, and exceptional clinical training.

  • Predoctoral Education: Dental students receive foundational knowledge in craniofacial growth, occlusion, orthodontic diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Residency Program: The intensive residency provides comprehensive clinical experience with diverse cases, including cleft and craniofacial patients, orthognathic surgery, and interdisciplinary treatment. Residents gain expertise in traditional orthodontics, clear aligners, and advanced technologies while conducting meaningful research projects. Numerous private practitioners volunteer as clinical supervisors, creating a practical bridge between academic and real-world orthodontic experience.
  • Continuing Education: The department contributes to the lifelong learning through support of organized orthodontics and our alumni association sponsored courses that integrate emerging evidence, technologies, and a continuation of our family atmosphere.
