The Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry advances oral and overall health through education, patient care, research, and service. The department focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of teeth and dental implants.
